Jurassic Park is a Hollywood science fiction movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, released in 1993 and based on the novel by Michael Crichton. It has become one of the most successful films of all time. This is one of the films with higher earnings history and a milestone with respect to the use of the digital effects for the filming of movies. Oscar won three awards.The screenplay was adapted by Crichton, from the original literary work, along with David Koepp and Malia Scotch Marmo. The cast was composed by Richard Attenborough, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern; the special effects were created by Industrial Light and Magic and Phil Tippett.

The film describes the cloning of various species of dinosaurs, carried out by a scientific company called InGen and headed by entrepreneur John Hammond, from the genetic manipulation of segments of prehistoric material preserved in a piece of amber, to create an amusement park on an island near Costa Rica. The project investors decide to carry out an investigation at the facility, before the inauguration. However, the sudden formation of a tropical cyclone and the Organization of a sabotage by one of the employees, cause the park security systems stop working and the dinosaurs begin to flee their facilities. Personnel involved attempts to restore systems, but being too late, they begin to flee the island.
In principle, Jurassic Park received positive on the part of the specialized press reviews. Most approved to the film by the use of innovative special effects on Cine predominant at that time, although some others were disappointed by the narrative adaptation of the story, described in the novel from which it was based. During their show, obtained more than 914 million USD and featured numerous adaptations to video games, comic strips and rides at the theme parks of Universal Studios.
Jurassic Park is the first film in the franchise with the same name, followed by lost world of 1997 and Jurassic Park III in 2001. A new continuation, subject of multiple speculations with the passage of time, was confirmed by Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park III director) in an interview at the beginning of 2010, being the start of a second trilogy based on Jurassic Park. In more recent statements, Johnston said that he is already working on a new script and hoping that, upon completion of his participation in The First Avenger: Captain America, to start its production along with Steven Spielberg.
